As is McCain, if he won. America, enjoy your euphoria now, for it will fade soon. Next week, you will wake up realizing you're still broke, wealth hasn't been redistributed, your depression hasn't faded, your fiscal woes haven't been redeemed, the term "yes we can" has been relegated to the answer of whether or not you can afford the FunPak at Walmart, and your sins still haven't been forgiven because you've elevated two political figures to the status of godhood - two figures who are just as sinful as you and me. Anyway. All I really want to say has been summed up here.

Telling Me What I Want to Hear

Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin have repeatedly refused to call the American public out on its excessive spending and abominable average household debt. I understand that their rhetoric is purely political - you don't want to piss the public off. Tell them what they want to hear; big corporations, corrupt CEOs, they're to blame! Not us. Quite similar to the state of the pulpit these days, where preachers get up to tell us "It ain't your fault! You're a good person! Here are 10 steps to your best life now," rather than call us on our sin and exhort us to repent.

I Didn't Know You Could Gain/Lose Divine Status

This cute little girl has to face the next 9-10 years in relative isolation, whilst being brainwashed into self-idolatry, because she has been deemed a "goddess." It pains me just looking at her with all that ridiculous makeup on.
